Trek Point Nepean- historical trek 10 km 4 hrs

Your GirlsTrek guides will meet you at the Melbourne Airport. We depart in private vehicles, making a stop to purchase coffee and have lunch before traveling onto our afternoons trekking destination.

The driving time is approximately 2 hours from Melbourne airport to the Quarantine Station, at the start of the Port Nepean park. Today's trek is full of interesting history, starting at the Quarantine Station where we share stories of European settlement and later tales of war time at Port Nepean.

Today we have time to relax into our trekking days, with an easy 10 km walk on well formed paths, that are shaded for a good part of the walk. There are a couple of gentle rises as we reach the headlands.

After our trek we will travel to our gorgeous accommodation, our home for the next 3 nights.

Tonight we dine in a restaurant serving a wonderful selection of local produce in their dishes.

The trek today is undulating through beautiful forest and on lesser walked trails. We enjoy a shady canopy for most of our time today. We visit the beautiful Cape Shanck and have time to wander down to the bay and around the light house. This is a gorgeous days walking, with lots to see and enjoy.

We have lunch on the track today, along the way.

We arrive back at the hotel by bus in the late afternoon, there is time for shopping or for you to relax.

Trek: Coastal Track 12 kms (4 hrs)

This morning we depart our hotel for a healthy breakfast to start the day.

The coastal track is a beautiful stretch of coast line on the southern side of the Mornington Peninsula. While the track is gently undulating, it is quite sandy in places. Small ankle gaiters will be your friend on this day's trek.

After our coastal trek we take a drive back to Sorrento for you to spend a few hours relaxing, shopping or laying by the hotel pool.

Late in the afternoon we travel to Peninsula Hot Springs to relax and refresh in the vast hot pools. The natural thermal waters are packed full of wonderful minerals to work on muscles and rejuvenate the mind!

We enjoy a delicious meal in the Hot Springs restaurant, with a glass of wine, beer or soft drink. The evening is ours to take as long as we like enjoying the many pools and experiences the Hot Springs has to offer.

We return by bus to our hotel, relaxed and ready for a wonderful nights sleep.
