EX HOBART

  • Arriving into in Hobart airport, your GirlsTrek guide will be there to meet you with a private vehicle.

    A wine tasting and cheese plate awaits only a short drive near the town of Richmond. The historic winery has beautiful grounds and award winning wines. You may like to make a purchase to enjoy later at our accommodation over the next two nights.

    Time permitting we will visit the historic town of Richmond for a wander around it's historical buildings.

    We then depart for our retreat style accommodation approximately a further hour and 30 minutes drive. We arrive in time to unpack, change and enjoy a pre dinner drink and if we are lucky catch the sun setting over the sea.

  • Trek Freycinet Peninsula 13 -14km (5.5 hours )

    Waking up in the sanctuary of the retreat places you in an immediate relaxed state. The forest surrounding our cabins are perfectly positioned to hear the bird song and feel the fresh air on our faces.

    Today we explore the magnificent Freycinet Peninsula. We trek Wineglass Bay, the Isthmus and there maybe a dip in the Pacific Ocean! While walking the tracks and beaches we have wonderful views of the ocean and it's breezes to keep us cool and invigorated.

    Dinner is at a local restaurant.

  • Trek Maria Island - 13-14 kms (5 hours)

    Today is a day to remember... the beautiful Maria Island. Travelling to the small seaside town of Triabunna in the morning first take a ferry over the to island.

    The goal today is the summit of Bishop and Clark weather dependent or the Fossil cliffs and Darlington village. Maria Island is a treasure trove of scenic views and interesting curiosities as well as very cute wombats.

    GirlsTrek will provide a delicious and nutritious trekker morning tea and lunch on the trail.

    After a full day, we will travel south onto our accommodation in Hobart.

    Tonight you will dine in one of the many fabulous restaurants that Hobart has to offer. This will be a short stroll from your hotel.

  • Relaxation and celebration time

    GirlsTrek has two suggestions for you, to create a day of relaxing and celebration before you head home to family, work and life commitments.

    We suggest a sleep in or an early morning stroll in Battery Point led by your guide.

    After checkout, you can take the ferry to MONA, enjoying a wander in the gallery and to relax over lunch at the winery on site. Then travel onto the airport for afternoon flight home.
