Trek: Friends Track (Warby Ovens National Park) 9 km
7:15 am departure from Albury directly to Wangaratta.
On arrival at Wangaratta (approximately 50 mins drive) we stop for a delicious late breakfast at a local favourite restaurant on the banks of the Ovens River.
Our trek today is in the Warby-Ovens National Park to Kwat Kwat lookout. During our trek you enjoy wonderful views toward both the Ovens Valley and the King Valley. There are a few small climbs however we rate this track as moderately easy.
After our warm up walk we will continue to a King Valley winery for a fun afternoon sampling local wine and cheese in their relaxing and lush garden.
Later we take you in to the village of Whitfield and your accommodation. It's an easy stroll between cottages and these "home away from home" accommodations create a gorgeous welcome to the warmth and ease that exudes from the King Valley.
Tonight we dine at the local pub for a hearty meal and a nice Italian glass of wine (or two!).
Meals: Breakfast, lunch and dinner

Trek Edi Track 12 km 4hrs
After breakfast at a local Café in a neighbouring village, we meet our local guide Anna Kate and set off for an inspiring trekking day.
The purpose of today’s trek is to give you the “sense” of the King Valley. To do this we do need to get up high. After a ascent we gain a vantage point from the ridgeline give you view breaks of both the King Valley and the Myhree Valley. All though we are hill climbing today, however we will do it “Italian style” with no rushing required!
After we continue to a generations old King Valley winery for a lovely long lunch. We turn up in our trek clothes feeling relaxed and hungry to enjoy the seasonally prepared courses.
Later in the day we travel back to Whitfield and enjoy some small snacks in one of our accommodation and more conversation.
Meals: Breakfast and long lunch.

Trek Powers Lookout 1.5 km 1hr & Whitty Lane 4 km (1hr)
A light snack is provided in your accommodation prior to your short walk early this morning.
At around 7:00 am we depart for Powers Lookout and hear the stories of Ned Kelly and his mentor Harry Power. It is a chance to soak up the history and folk lore of the Strathbogie Ranges. After we continue down Whitty Lane, a meandering trail through Eucalypt forest and farm lands back in to Whitfield.
We return to our accommodation to freshen up, check out and travel a short distance to Pizzini winery.
Greeted with a coffee and a morning tea delight our task today is to enjoy a gastronomically enticing cooking school finishing with wine tastings. For lunch we dine on the fruits of your labour at the Pizzini cellar door. GirlsTrek love this experience with the Pizzini's at their generational family owned vineyard and we know you will too. They make us feel as though we are arriving in to Nonna's kitchen every time we visit.
After lunch, at approx. 2:30 pm we will depart the restaurant to be back at Albury airport by 3:30 pm for your homeward flights.
Meals: Light breakfast, cooking school and lunch
