Why would you choose to travel to Kangaroo Valley?

Prior to European settlement, the Wodi-Wodi peoples inhabited this region working with the fertile land that lay in the valleys between the escarpments. The natural features of this area are majestic and reminiscent of the Blue Mountains region. The first European explorer to the area, Surveyor George Evans stated in his notes that the valley offered a view that “no painter could beautify”.

There is an abundance of living history on this experience. Walking in Australia’s oldest National Park - the Royal National Park, the historic Hampden Bridge where we put in our kayaks and visiting the quaint regional towns of Bowral, Moss Vale and Kangaroo Valley. There is an English feel to the field of green and stone house whose construction dates back to the early 1800’s. It is a parcel of Australia that feels steeped in tradition but alive with the brilliance of modern cuisine and the ever soothing envelop of beautiful remanent forests.

The final days along the coastline near Kiama and further north treat you to sweeping views and a very refreshing dip in the Pacific Ocean.
