Trek Six Foot Track 15-17km 6hrs

Enjoy a leisurely breakfast from 7:30am in the dining room before we set off for our day at 9:00 am.

Our drive time to the start of our trek is approximately 30 minutes. The famous Six Foot Track, is our destination. Once the tourist route from Katoomba to the Jenolan caves the track received its name sake from the width of the bullock drays. Starting from the floor of the Megalong Valley we explore farm lands, sweeping views and river side trails on this part of the track.

We have the option of crossing the Bowtells swing bridge, a challenge definitely worth doing.

We enjoy a trekker picnic lunch during the foot travels for the day and plan to return to our accommodation by approximately 4:30pm.

Tonight we will come together in the guides room for a pre dinner GirlsTrek celebratory glass of bubbles.

Our restaurant this evening is one to remember, a short walk away from our accommodation.

Long time clever restaurateurs Mary-Jane and Corinne have returned to Blackheath with Cinebar Kitchen, a sophisticated yet casual dining concept. The menu is a distillation of their broad and varied food styles over the years, offering loyal followers and visitors an opportunity to travel the world in one night. Dishes are designed to share with Lovers, Friends and Family in a vibrant space evocative of exotic and faraway places.

Through the Darndenelles Pass, and along the Federal Pass Walking Track, where you will come across beautiful waterfalls before heading up into Leura. We enjoy a light picnic on the track, deep in the beautiful forest.

When we reach the gorgeous township of Leura there is time to explore the many shops and galleries or while away an hour to relaxing over a snack with wine and coffee.

Later we travel back to our accommodation.

Trek Grand Canyon 6 kms 3 hours

This morning you do have the option of a little sleep in, or for the keen trekkers we depart before 8am for the beautiful Grand Canyon trek. This mystical part of the northern reach of the Blue Mountains is a gorgeous experience. The trek out requires a lot of stairs and is quite steep. This is the reason to allow the group plenty of time to take breaks.

For those who prefer a relaxing morning GirlsTrek will 'swing back' around to you and collect after the trek.

From there we make our way to the Norman Lindsay Gallery for lunch and a private tour of the workrooms, gallery and grounds with a local volunteer. You will see many original works of Norman Lindsay, including the famous Magic Pudding sketches.

After our visit we make our way back to Sydney airport and will arrive in time for flights booked from 6pm onwards. (Your trip guide will advise what time flights to aim for.)
